He is a firm believer in spiritual growth through small group prayer and Bible Studies, as well as special growth opportunities such as "Walk to Emmaus", "Promise Keepers", and mission trips. He has been a supporter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at the high school and college levels, for over 35 years and feels most blessed that a high school huddle he helped start in 1978 is still operation. Since Chuck has always wanted to be involved in campus ministry, he is looking forward to serving on the EIU Wesley Foundation Board. As one would expect of a former radio sportscaster, he is most fond of athletics and is already looking forward to watching as many Trojan and Panther contests as time will allow. Mr. Trent is married to Linda Trent whom preaches at the Shelbyville Wesley Chapel & Fourth Street United Methodist Churches. They have three daughters living in Champaign and St. Louis and are thrilled to be so close to the two grandchildren in Champaign.
